With the adoption of the Statute of the inaugural meeting, CROZA was founded 26.1.2006. and registered as a nonprofit professional association.

The main objective of the association is popularization of zeolites and related microporous (mesoporous) materials through all aspects of scientific, professional and educational activities, where natural, artificial or modified zeolites are investigated or applied.

Special emphasis of the association is on informing the public and professionals of all kinds about zeolites, as a significant contemporary microporous materials, used in environmental protection, medicine, science, industry, agriculture, etc.

Association headquarters is in Zagreb under the auspices of the "Ruder Boskovic Institute".
